About Us
We’ve been teaching and hosting social dances in Christchurch
since 1975.
We continue to maintain our proud social dancing heritage and the philosophy that anyone can learn to dance. Dancing does not discriminate, anyone of any age can learn to dance, and learn to dance well.
The Christchurch Ballroom Dancing Club began operating under the leadership of Alan Wright – “Anyone who dances for their own enjoyment is a champion.”
Our teachers
Our teachers are passionate about the learning experience, and have a professional approach to teaching. Ruth has been involved in social dancing for over 30 years. Phillip has been dancing since he was very young and manages the club dances.
